Sports review 2020
In 2020, high school and college sports were put at risk as the coronavirus raged. Siuslaw High School and Mapleton High School were unable to participate in any of their fall sports activities. College sports have found a way to start the season late with a limited season. The Oregon Ducks were nearly wiped out as Pac-12 champions by the virus until it was determined that the Washington Huskies could not compete in the Pac-12 Championship and the Ducks were able to take their place and defeat the USC Trojans for their chance at a bowl appearance.
