College sports have found a way to start the season late with a limited season. The Oregon Ducks were nearly wiped out as Pac-12 champions by the virus until it was determined that the Washington Huskies could not compete in the Pac-12 Championship and the Ducks were able to take their place and defeat the USC Trojans for their chance at a bowl appearance.
