The new musical Some like it hot is now premiering at the Shubert Theater (225 West 44th Street). This all-new Broadway musical features a book by Matthew López (The Inheritance) & Amber Ruffin (“The Amber Ruffin Spectacle”).

SOME LIKE IT HOT presents the music of Marc Shaimanwords of Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman (Hairspray) and direction and choreography of Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon). The musical is based on the classic MGM film Some like it hot which was named “Funniest American Film of All Time” by the American Film Institute.
Set in Chicago when prohibition has everyone craving a little excitement, Some like it hot is the thrilling story of two musicians forced to flee the Windy City after witnessing a mob hit. With gangsters hot on their heels, they’re on the run as new members of the swingiest big band to ever cross the country. Can they hide in plain sight without getting completely lost? Or will the crowd, the truth, and perhaps even love itself eventually catch up with them?
