Building applications have been filed with the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) for a seven-story mixed-use apartment building at 1985 Jerome Avenue in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx, reported by YIMBY.

Located between West Burnside Avenue and West Tremont Avenue, the land is a short walk from the Burnside Avenue subway station, which is serviced by the 4 train. Moris Yeroshalmi under Yed LLC is listed as the owners of the apps, according to YIMBY.

The proposed 70-foot-tall development will produce 41,759 square feet, with 38,620 square feet earmarked for residential space and 3,139 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 56 residential units, most likely rentals based on an average area of 689 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also feature a cellar and a 30-foot-long backyard.

ARC Architecture + Design Studio is listed as the official architect.

Demolition permits were filed in March for the site parking lot. An estimated completion date for the new structure has yet to be announced.
