Modern Warfare 2 – Everything we know about the story so far
One of the most exciting parts of the trailer is the confirmation that some familiar faces are back!
Although it was recently revealed on the Call of Duty blog, it’s a different experience to see them in a trailer.
This won’t be the only familiar feature we’ll have in the game, as we know classic maps will be making a return as well!
As you can imagine, that means the return of Task Force 141 with all of its fan-favorite characters like Gaz, Ghost, Captain John Price, and Soap.
It appears that during the campaign, Task Force 141 will have to work alongside the Mexican Forces.
That’s why we will also meet new characters Alejandro Vargas, Corporal Phillip Graves and CIA Station Chief Kate Laswell.

The campaign picks up three years after Modern Warfare. Currently, Task Force 141 handles missions around the world, when conflicts arise.
The trailer shows that we will be part of the Marines of Laswell, our first objective being to locate Hasan, a foreign general, and capture or eliminate him.
For obvious reasons, this unleashes significant conflict between the countries.
When Task Force 141 discovers that the terrorist group Al-Qatala is working alongside the Mexican drug cartel “Las Alamas”, they contact Colonel Alejandro Vargas of the Mexican Special Forces for help.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Missions
Along with all the new additions coming to Modern Warfare 2, we also know a bit about some of the new missions!
Luckily, we’ve had a look at some of the missions we can expect to see in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2:
In this mission, we will support Soap. Obviously, this mission takes place at night, when we see an allied helicopter crashing in front of us.
Afterwards, Task Force 141 uses night vision to take out several terrorists and heads to the safety of the helicopter.
This mission ends with the helicopter hit by a rocket.
A mission set in Amsterdam (most likely), in which water and swimming will play an important role.
We take control of Gaz and are tasked with finding out who is smuggling for the terrorists.

As the name suggests, the majority of this mission takes place underwater, with stealth being a driving factor.
Gaz moves around the area silently picking off targets one by one, pulling them into the water for a stealthy kill.
A mission that takes place in a city (probably Chicago). This mission involves many high-rise abseilings and gives players the freedom to complete it.
Apart from that, there is also a mission involving vehicles, showing many new and different vehicle mechanics.
