Dogri Sanstha organizes tales of deceased veteran writers – Jammu Kashmir Latest News | Tourism

JAMMU, June 26 Dogri Sanstha Jammu has curated online tales about late veteran short story writers Padmashri Padma Sachdeva and Shakunt Deepmala.
Padma Sachdeva is well known for promoting the native Dogri language with her colossal contributions to Dogri literature and was awarded the Sahitya Academy award for her first ever collection of poetry ‘Meri Kavita Mere Geet’.
In the program, Assistant Professor Dogri Rituraj Sharma read her short story “Bu Tu Razi Aein”, which is ranked among the critically acclaimed all-time short stories in the Dogri language.
Dogri Assistant Professor Dr. Sheetal Sharma read another short film writer, Shakunt Deepmala’s highly acclaimed short story “Prerna”, from his only Dogri collection of short stories “Sukhan”, which won him the Memorial Prize by Professor Ram Nath Shastri in 2016.
The program was chaired by Prof. Lalit Magotra, a prolific Hindi and Dogri writer and Dogri Sanstha Jammu President. The program was watched by thousands across India and abroad through Dogri Sanstha Jammu’s Facebook page.
